Acceptable Use Policy

What may not be generated with Covely, and what may not be done to it. Short on purpose.

Last updated 23 August 2026Intellix Solutions LLC

Scope

This policy applies to everyone using Covely.ai, on any plan, including work our team produces for you. It is part of the Terms of Service, and it is the shortest document here on purpose: if something below is unclear, ask before you generate it.

  • Do not create a likeness or a voice of a real person without their documented permission. Being famous is not permission.
  • Custom creators and cloned voices require permission from the person, which you upload with the request.
  • Do not present a generated person as a named real individual, a verified customer, an employee, or a public official.

How we handle this, and what we do when it is reported, is on the AI Ethics page.

Content that is not allowed

  • Impersonation. Content presenting a real person or organisation as saying or endorsing something they did not.
  • Political manipulation. Synthetic political messaging built to look like it came from someone else, and election content designed to mislead.
  • Sexual content. Including anything sexualising a minor, which we report rather than merely block.
  • Violence and hate. Content promoting violence, or attacking people for who they are.
  • Deception. Fabricated medical, financial, scientific or legal claims, invented reviews, fake endorsements, and content designed for fraud or phishing.
  • Illegality. Anything unlawful where you are, or where you publish.

This list is not exhaustive and it grows. Legal is not the same as acceptable: if a viewer would feel deceived, treat it as out of bounds.

What not to do to the platform

  • Share API keys, resell access, or run someone else's production through your account without an agreement that allows it.
  • Work around rate limits, credit limits or plan restrictions, including through multiple accounts.
  • Scrape the platform, reverse engineer it, or use it to train a competing model.
  • Probe or test our security without written permission. Report what you find instead, to hello@covely.ai.
  • Upload malware, or use generated assets to distribute it.

Publishing responsibly

  • Label AI-generated content where the platform, the market or the law expects it. Every major ad platform now has a control for this.
  • Where a creator is synthetic and the format implies a real customer, make that clear in the creative.
  • Substantiate claims. A generated video does not make an unsupported claim any safer.

How we enforce this

Generation is screened automatically, and custom creators, cloned voices and flagged generations are reviewed by a person. Where something breaches this policy we may remove the output, restrict a capability, or suspend the account, and for serious cases we will act immediately and report where we are required to.

Enforcement is tied to an account, so abuse has an owner.

Reporting

Write to hello@covely.ai with what you saw and where. If you are the person whose likeness or voice is involved, say so, and your report goes to the top of the queue.
